In and around Wolkersdorf you’ll find many cosy Heurige – traditional wine taverns where the Veltliner flows, the roast crackles and the atmosphere is never fake. Tip: Heuriger Holzer or Weingut Pittnauer – authentic, local, and best reached on foot or by bike.
2. Cycling with a view.
The Weinviertel was made for bikes. Directly from the Weinvilla you can ride peaceful paths through fields and vineyards – for example along the Dampfross Route or toward Hagenbrunn. Helmet on. Everyday off.
3. Discover the Kellergassen.
The "Kellergasse Wolkersdorf-Süd" is a true gem. White press houses, old stone walls, and the scent of earth and time. Tip: Go at sunset. Or with a glass of wine in your hand. Or both.
